Founded in 1991, Project Angel Heart’s mission was to provide Coloradans facing life-threatening illness with the nutrition needed to heal and become stronger. Project Angel Heart allows its recipients to obtain necessary meals specifically tailored to their individual health and medical needs, all without needing to leave their home. Once prepared by a professional chef, meals are assembled and delivered by Project Angel Heart volunteers, free of charge, to community members facing cancer, HIV/AIDS, kidney/heart/lung disease, and other illnesses. In 2019, Project Angel Heart prepared approximately 500,000 meals to 3,500 afflicted individuals, all with the help of over 120 volunteers.
